From the supplier: Sen Thomas A. Daschle, the Senate minority
leader, proposed the Family Health Insurance Protection Act, which
would provide incremental health care reform. The proposal includes
provisions for insurance reform, prohibiting pre-existing condition
exclusions and charging higher rates for ill insureds. The law
would also encourage state governments to go forward with
healthcare reform to improve access to care and control
costs.
