From the supplier: The Senate should pass legislation restricting a jury's punitive damages while the Republican legislature has the opportunity. The House of Representatives is willing to limit punitive damages, but so far the Senate has succeeded in tabling all measures which favor such reform. The law should do more than limit damages for product liability, which has been suggested by some senators. Many insurance companies will refuse to do business in states where punitive damages are not limited by law.
